Did you know that certain professions can put you at greater risk for developing carpal tunnel syndrome? There is still plenty of learning and research that needs to be done to figure out exactly what the cause of it is, but they have found a correlation between certain professions and carpal tunnel. Professions that require you to use your hands intensely and often are often at greater risk. Carpal tunnel is caused by pressure on the nerve that runs through your wrist and hand. People who spend the majority of their time using repetitive and strenuous hand motions are more often times the ones to experience symptoms.
